Training news: Total E&P to drill first 20K well worldwide

The Solaris well will be the deepest and have the highest temperature on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. To accomplish this achievement, Total E&P will utilize a full scale dynamic drilling simulator to test the procedures and train all involved personnel.

Main objective for the training is to ensure the procedures in place are adequate for the task, rig, and crew. At the same time, Total E&P will ensure and verify that the key critical communication between MPD, rig, and service personnel are optimized with a strong focus on team collaboration.
